Arsenal lead race to sign Rangers sensation Jack Wylie - report
Arsenal are reportedly leading the race to sign Rangers academy sensation Jack Wylie.
According to the Daily Record on 6 October, they have scouted the 15-year-old on several occasions over the course of the past few months.
It’s understood that the Scottish giants could lose the Scotland under-16s international if the Gunners step up their interest to sign him
Rangers are exceptional at producing talented players for the next generation and Wylie undoubtedly is part of that list.
Rory Wilson looked like the next big thing at Ibrox but Gers found it impossible to retain his services.
Much like Steven Gerrard, a move to Aston Villa was too good to turn down for him and the same could happen with the 15-year-old.
Arsenal are a very big club and despite their recent struggles, look to be on the rise of late.
They are on top of the Premier League and are expected to challenge for the title – something nobody thought they would at the start of the season.
If Gers manage to retain his services, it will be a big coup but they’ve got to give him certain assurances which could include a quicker pathway to the first team.
Wylie isn’t eligible to sign his professional forms until he turns 16 in January and that’s when we could get a clear picture of his future.
