Arsenal star Bukayo Saka makes WhoScored U21 team of the week after electric outing against Liverpool
Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has made WhoScored’s Under-21 team of the week after his electric performance against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
The winger scored twice in the game, the latter a winning penalty which saw the Gunners clinch a tight 3-2 win on the day.
Some would argue that Gabriel Martinelli deserved a spot in the team after his outing, alas he was left out by the decision-makers.
Football’s largest detailed football statistics website WhoScored, ranked the best U21s team of the week based on their ratings for players from their most recent game.
Saka was joined by only one other fellow Premier League talent, Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise who shone for the Eagles in their 2-1 win over Leeds.
Other notable names in the fierce XI are Barcelona’s Pedri and Napoli’s man of the moment Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Elite.
Saka is starting to look like the elite talent everyone expected him to become and he’s consistently performing for the Gunners on a regular basis.
He caused Liverpool all sorts of problems Sunday afternoon and will continue to wreak havoc against Premier League sides if he continues this fine form.
Arsenal needs to get their man tied down to a new and improved contract, one that will keep the winger at the club for his best years.
Saka is loved by Gunners fans and it seems he loves them back, there’s little doubt that he won’t sign an extension, although interest from Manchester City is said to be rife.
A link-up between Guardiola and Saka is a mouth-watering prospect and the thought of Saka being implemented alongside Erling Haaland is a scary prospect.
Whether that link-up occurs will be clearer once this season has come to an end, one thing is for sure, Saka is one of the Premier League’s hottest properties.
