Arsenal youngster Brooke Norton-Cuffy joins Rotherham on loan

Arsenal defender Brooke Norton Cuffy has joined Championship side Rotherham on a season-long loan, the club have confirmed.

The 18-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Lincoln City and was part of the England under-19 team that won the European Championships in Slovakia.

After an impressive couple of months, the teenager has been given the chance to showcase his talent in the Championship with the Millers.

The loan to the New York Stadium is an exciting move for a player who exploded onto the scene earlier this year and caught many by surprise with his performances.

After joining the Imps in January 2020, he went on to make 17 appearances in League One, scoring one goal and one assist during that time.

This in addition to his performances with Young Lions in Slovakia helped the teenager establish himself as one of the best defenders his age in the country.

Explosive runner, with a powerful tackle while being fantastic on the ball, the 18-year-old has huge potential and is just in need of a run of games.

With the depth in his position at Arsenal, a loan made the most sense for the youngster to get consistent game time and continue his development.

The Millers are yet to lose in the Championship, so the Arsenal starlet will be given the platform to develop by joining a strong Championship team.
