Brentford offer personal terms to Brennan Johnson, Everton and Newcastle among suitors

Brentford have reportedly offered personal terms to Nottingham Forest attacker Brennan Johnson.

According to the Independent, Leicester City, Newcastle United, Everton and Villarreal are among the other clubs who are keen on signing the 20-year-old this summer.

He has been enjoying a terrific campaign in the Championship and he was recently named EFL Young Player of the Season.

The attacker’s current deal at Nottingham Forest runs out in the summer of 2023.

However, he is not believed to be keen on signing an extension unless they secure promotion to the Premier League.

This opens the door for the aforementioned teams and Everton, if they manage to stay up.

Johnson has aspirations of playing in the English top flight and they can offer him that chance next season.

A fee in the region of £20million – £25million is understood to be need to secure his services in the upcoming transfer window.

All the said teams are likely to finish in the bottom half and they will be looking to invest in the summer.

Newcastle, under their new owners, will not have a problem loosening the purse strings.

Leicester are also in the need of wide forwards and the same can be said of Brentford as well.

Villarreal could offer Johnson European football and it remains to be seen if he does end up leaving England.

In other Newcastle news, teenager Elliot Anderson is set for a further loan move with suitors queueing up.
