Edwards is having a phenomenal season – scoring 17 goals and registering six assists in 22 games for the academy.
He’s mainly played for the under-18s where he’s been at his flying best but also has appearances for the under-23s as well.
The 18-year-old has caught the eye of a number of other clubs as well and the Gunners are hoping that they can retain his services as he’s one of their most exciting prospects.

Given Brighton’s philosophy, it makes sense for them to pursue the signature of Edwards.
They’re known to buy players with high potential on the cheap and then develop them into stars for the future.
It could work well for their economics as well as they’re not known to be a club that splashes the cash unnecessarily on players.
For Arsenal, it makes sense for them to want to tie him down, but his chances of playing senior first-team football are higher at Brighton and the opportunity to work for a young coach on the rise in Graham Potter could tempt him to leave.
