Leeds United in talks to sign Celtic goalkeeper Rory Mahady - report
Leeds United are now locked in talks to sign Celtic goalkeeper Rory Mahady, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper has reported in its print edition [The Verdict, 22 August, pg. 14], that the Whites are looking to boost their academy by bringing in the sensation.
Mahady could follow Leo Hjelde by making the move to Elland Road from north of the border and leaving the Glasgow giants in recent years.
At 15 years old, Mahady would be arriving as an option for the academy.
Victor Orta is always on the lookout for the brightest talents, not only in the United Kingdom but across Europe as the youthful transfer blitz continues.
Not only do the under-21’s get strengthened either, with each age group being made into a real stronghold that can benefit the first-team and Jesse Marsch for years to come.

Ange Postecoglou will certainly be asking questions.
Celtic may be tasting great success domestically right now in Scotland, but there comes a point where they can’t continue to lose some of their brightest talents.
Mahady potentially following Hjedle to Elland Road will send the message to most clubs in England that the lure is too much to turn down.
Scottish football has lost many talents over the years with the likes of Billy Gilmour one of the biggest names after his move to Chelsea years ago.
Leeds United are set to take advantage if they can find a positive end to discussions with Celtic, and that is likely given that discussions are now open to find an end to this potential move.
The 15-year-old isn’t the first, and it looks as though he won’t be the end to make the move into England to further his career at Thorp Arch and Elland Road.
