Bournemouth want to sign Levi Colwill on loan from Chelsea this summer - report

Bournemouth are keen to sign Levi Colwill on loan from Chelsea this summer after securing promotion to the Premier League, according to the Daily Mail.

The Cherries sealed their return to the top flight with a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest in midweek, before a 1-0 win over Millwall on the final day of the season.

Now manager Scott Parker is already looking ahead to the new season and has targeted central defender Colwill to bolster his options, after a hugely successful loan spell at Huddersfield.

It’s believed that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is keen to take a look at Colwill during pre-season, with the view of including him in the first-team squad at Stamford Bridge.

However the lure of regular first-team football in the Premier League could be too much to overlook for both parties and a loan move is on the cards once more.

Parker has played for all the London clubs seemingly, and has connections everywhere because of it, but it’s not hard to see the gem that is Colwill.

The 19-year-old has been compared to John Terry in the past and has got all the attributes to become a top defender in the Premier League with regular development.

He is tall, quick, strong and good on the ball and would be a perfect fit for what Parker has built at Bournemouth with their attacking style and build up from defence.

It shows that Parker is already looking towards a young squad once more too, something he has been praised for in the past during his time at Fulham.

It would be a great move for all parties and would be a real test for Colwill at the highest level, but he could still reach it with Huddersfield which would then surely bring them into the equation once more too.

In other Chelsea news, David Moyes will attempt to sign Armando Broja for West Ham in the summer according to a report.
