Chelsea defender Levi Colwill likely to leave, 4 clubs in race - report
Chelsea teenager Levi Colwill is likely to leave the club during the summer transfer window, with four Premier League clubs in the race for his signature.
That’s according to a report by The Mirror [June 28th], who claim the 19-year-old will look to leave Stamford Bridge if he isn’t given assurances of regular first-team football.
Colwill spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Huddersfield in the Championship and helped the side finish in the play-off places, before his own-goal saw them beaten at the final hurdle.
But his performances across the season have attracted the interest of several Premier League clubs with Brighton, Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Southampton all keen on his services.
Thomas Tuchel wants to take a closer look at him during pre-season, but could be open to allowing him to leave on loan to ensure he continues his development.

Colwill is clearly a super talented young defender and he has been likened to Blues legend John Terry in the past too, even wearing his famous number 26 shirt while out on loan.
However with just one season of senior football under his belt and no experience in the top flight, it would certainly be a little bit of a gamble.
Chelsea would arguably not be the best breeding ground for him at this point, with so much expectation and so little room for error at the highest level.
But with plenty of time remaining on his Stamford Bridge contract considering he signed a four-year-deal before going on loan last summer, there is no rush or worry about his future.
He will be delighted to know that he has plenty of offers to choose from if it doesn’t work out at Chelsea for him and he will be hungry to prove himself at the highest level to earn a spot in the Chelsea team later in his career.
