Chelsea starlet Jude Soonsup-Bell likely to leave - report

Jude Soonsup-Bell is reportedly expected to leave Chelsea after seeing his career stalling at Stamford Bridge despite making his first-team debut last season.

According to the Athletic on 12 November, the striker was billed as one of the brightest prospects at the club, but will now be exploring his options elsewhere.

There have been reports of Manchester City showing an interest and Chelsea are already facing the prospect of losing him next summer.

Should leave

Cobham is famed to be one of the best young academies in Europe, but of late, there is a feeling that there has been way too much stockpiling of talent.

Soonsup-Bell was expected to be on the fringes of the first team a year on from his senior debut, but that is far from the scenario.

If the Blues are not ideal for his career progression, then he must leave and City could be ideal for him to make that next level.

Pep Guardiola is the best manager in the world and if he feels that youngsters are good enough, more often than not, they go on to have good careers.

We’re unsure if Guardiola does want the 18-year-old at the Etihad Stadium but he will have some say in the recruitment of the next generation.

The striker certainly has plenty of promise and we’re hoping he goes on to become a success wherever he goes and we’re hoping it’s in the Premier League.
