Dharmesh Sheth claims Chelsea ace Callum Hudson-Odoi is highly sought after

Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi has attracted the interest of a lot of clubs from across Europe, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

The 21-year-old has grown frustrated at the lack of playing time at Stamford Bridge under Thomas Tuchel and now wants to leave the Blues to further his career.

Sheth believes that clubs from all of Europe’s top leagues are keen to sign Hudson-Odoi but Chelsea would prefer to only loan him out this summer with two years left on his contract.

“It emerged that Callum Hudson-Odoi told Chelsea he wants to move to get regular first-team football at the weekend,” Sheth said.

“The information I’ve got today is that he is generating a lot of interest. As many as 20 teams are interested in Hudson-Odoi, from Serie A, the Bundesliga, from Spain, France, and the Premier League as well.

“His representatives have been in talks with Borussia Dortmund and want to talk to all interested parties and weigh up all his options before making a decision.

“Hudson-Odoi has two years remaining on his contract and Chelsea would prefer to loan as they would be able to demand a good price for him next summer were he to perform on loan and if they decided to sell.”

Got to go

Hudson-Odoi has been good enough to be a regular for Chelsea for a couple of years now but he has still not been given the chance to prove that in the Premier League.

He cannot keep warming the bench with the odd League Cup tie to play considering the talent he has and even when he does get a chance to play, he is forced to be a wing-back rather than an out-and-out winger.

Stamford Bridge has become a place of torment for him now and he should have probably gone much earlier than this, at least on loan, to keep his carer trajectory going upwards and forwards.

Instead, Tuchel has completely halted him and that relationship can effectively be thrown in the bin as he now searches for his long-awaited door out of the club.

If Chelsea keep hoarding young talent, then they will end up losing the majority of good ones like Hudson-Odoi and they will only have themselves to blame.

In other Chelsea news, the blues are set to battle with Manchester United to sign this monsterous striker from the champions of Austria.
