Loan Watch: Chelsea starlet Ian Maatsen sent off for Burnley in the Championship
Chelsea starlet Ian Maatsen was sent off Burnley after reacting to a challenge during their frustrating draw with Blackpool on 20 August.
Vincent Kompany’s side were 3-1 up before two late Blackpool goals meant the teams shared the spoils at the full-time whistle.
However, the Premier League youngster, who is on a season-long loan at the club, grabbed the headlines albeit for opposite reasons.

The Dutchman’s promising start continued when he picked up an assist against Hull City when his pinpoint cross was finished by Jay Rodriguez.
However, his performance against Blackpool was a dampener on what has been a positive and bright start to life up North.
Maatsen, who has established himself as a full-back who loves to get forward and get involved in attacks, was silenced against Blackpool and his reaction to Sonny Carey’s challenge was deserving of a red card.
He will be hoping to bounce back once he serves his suspension and return to the form he showed at Coventry last season as well as his early season form this year.
In other Chelsea news, the club are set to keep hold of Cesare Casadei.
