Borussia Dortmund and Everton want to sign Crystal Palace teenager Junior Dixon - report

Borussia Dortmund and Everton reportedly want to sign in-demand Crystal Palace teenager Junior Dixon who’s also wanted by KRC Genk.

According to the Telegraph on 7 October, the 17-year-old attacker has already been scouted by Dortmund this season.

Dixon has topped the goal-scoring charts this season in the Under-18 Premier League with seven goals to his name.

Top talent

We’re not surprised that Dixon is in demand, given how good he’s been this season for Palace’s youth team.

Dortmund have always kept tabs on English talent and signed them on the cheap before selling them for hefty profits.

The fact that they’re interested should mean that other clubs must also take note as their scouting department is exemplary.

Dixon has seen many clubs enquire over his services and the decision could soon be down to him as to what his next move should be.

He certainly will have seen the likes of Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho moving to Germany before becoming multi-million stars and returning to England (Sancho).

If he does want immediate first team football, the chances of getting that are higher at Genk but in terms of his learning, he would be better suited to move to bigger clubs that would give him more exposure and the chance to work in better facilities.
