Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira open to Malcolm Ebiowei loan - report
Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira is reportedly ken to let teenager Malcolm Ebiowei go out on loan to give him game time.
According to the Sun on 5 November, the 19-year-old scored and performed well for the under-23s against Arsenal last week.
However, with the Englishman only making three senior appearances, the Palace is hierarchy is willing to let him leave in January until the end of the season.
Makes sense
If the youngster is not getting enough time, it makes a lot of sense to send him out on loan to get some game time.
Rather than have him play for the under-21s and the odd games for the senior side, he would develop a lot better if he plays football at the senior level.
Championship clubs would surely love a player of his calibre and the Palace hierarchy can then keep tabs on his progress and see if he’s ready for the first team next season.
Right now, he’s probably at the level where he’s too good for the under-21s and not quite there to be a regular first-team player.
We’re hoping Vieira gives some clarity over his situation and also about the player’s stance as he certainly would not whiling his time on the bench.
Interesting weeks ahead and we should get a better idea post the World Cup as clubs will look to have talks with players over the future in that time.
