Crystal Palace starlet Malcolm Ebiowe pulls off audacious skill against Oxford

Crystal Palace wonderkid Malcolm Ebiowei pulled off an audacious skill against Oxford United in the club’s victory over Oxford United in the Carabao Cup.

The Eagles defeated the U’s 2-0 on 23 August with Odsonne Edouard and Luka Milivojević scored the goals to help Patrick Vieira’s team progress to the next round.

However, it was a piece of skill that the 18-year-old pulled off after coming on as a substitute in the 75th minute that caught the eye.

Just a hint of what he can do.

The sensational flick over the onrushing defender’s head was done with ease and was just another example of the confidence and talent that the teenager possesses.

Ebiowei had youth spells at Chelsea, Arsenal, and Rangers, but it was Derby where he established himself in the men’s games and made his first real home.

While with the Rams, he showcased his undeniable talent in the Championship and his efforts almost helped the Rams avoid a certain relegation.

The teenager’s performances during pre-season impressed manager Patrick Vieira, allegedly to the point that he decided that the youngster will not go on loan, in favour of him staying at Selhurst Park and fighting for a first-team place. [The Sun]

Eagles fans will be still eagerly awaiting to see the teenager get more game time but they will have to be patient and have faith that Vieira will unleash him when he feels he is ready.

Until then, they will have to enjoy the small cameos he has been producing off the bench and hope to see more outrageous pieces of skill like the one he showcased against Oxford.

In other Crystal Palace news, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi has had a great start to life on-loan at Charlton.
