Crystal Palace wonderkid Malcolm Ebiowei impressing Patrick Vieira - Fabrizio Romano
Crystal Palace starlet Malcom Ebiowei will not be allowed to leave on loan after impressing Patirick Vieira in pre-season, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The teenager joined the Eagles this summer after making a name for himself at Derby County last season in the Championship.
However, it has now been revealed that Ebiowei will be staying at Selhurst Park, with his manager being keen on working with him closely this season.
Romano wrote on his personal Twitter account: “Patrick Vieira, happy with Malcolm Ebiowei’s impact at Crystal Palace.
“No plan to let him leave on loan, as of now as Ebiowei could really have a chance at Palace already this year.
“Vieira wants to work closely with Ebiowei to become an important player for the future.”
Big plans for Ebiowei.
The 18-year-old, who is originally from South London, moved to Selhurst Park from Derby after his contract expired at the now League One club.
He had youth spells at Arsenal, Chelsea and Rangers before finding his feet at the Pride Park Stadium in 2020, making 15 appearances for the Rams and scoring one goal while providing two assists.
Since moving to Palace, he has joined the team on their pre-season tour in Australia and produced some exciting performances, indicating his talent and potential.
Notably, he had an impressive cameo against Manchester United, on one occasion showcasing his spectacular dribbling ability to put Brazilian midfielder Fred on his backside.
It is no surprise that he has earned the trust of Vieira, with his skill and technique being clear to see.
If he can fit into the team, alongside some of their other incredible young attacking talents like Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze, he will find himself at home in south London in no time.
In other news, Aston Villa wonderkid Carney Chukwuemeka is the target of some of the world’s biggest clubs.
