He was rewarded for his impressive pre-season performances with a late cameo against the Gunners, a team where he had previously featured for their youth team.
Huge talent
Despite only getting a few minutes in the dying embers of the game, Ebiowei will soon became a name that majority of Premier League fans are aware of.
With youth spells at Chelsea, Arsenal, and Rangers, it was Derby where he established himself in the men’s games and made his first real home.
He showcased his undeniable talent in the Championship and his efforts almost helped the Rams avoid a certain relegation.
The teenager’s performances during pre-season impressed manager Patrick Vieira, allegedly to the point that he decided that the youngster will not go on loan, in favour of him staying at Selhurst Park and fighting for a first-team place. [The Sun]
Even in his small cameo against the Gunners, he still managed to successfully take on Kieran Tierney and the supporting Gabriel Martinelli.
The fact that at the age of 18, and less than five minutes into his Premier League career, he is already requiring double-teams, is a testament to his talent and fans will soon know all about the potential of the versatile forward.
