Derby County and Millwall keen on Everton talent Tom Cannon

Millwall and Derby County and heavily interested in signing Everton young talent Tom Cannon, as per journalist Alan Nixon.

The Sun journalist wrote on his Patreon on 14 August that Millwall are looking to sign him on loan. The Lions are apparently big fans of the player.

Derby County are also in the mix, and the Toffees have to make a big decision about what to do with him.

Sensible move

The 19-year-old centre-forward plays for the U21 side, and he is a highly-rated young talent.

The youngster is knocking on the first team door at Goodison Park, and therefore the Toffees must be very careful with his growth and development.

Everton have sent two strikers on loan this summer already – Lewis Dobbin and Ellis Simms – and Cannon could be away from the club as well on a temporary deal.

Everton

This is indeed a tough decision the club has to make. Derby County plays in League One, and it could be an ideal platform for him to develop this season, considering his age.

His chances of getting regular games are more at Pride Park.

On the other hand, a year in the Championship could give him tremendous confidence and he could be in a better position to get into the senior side next season.

Millwall appear to be keen on signing him, which could mean they have chalked out some plans already.
