Successful pre-season for Mills.

The teenager has had a successful pre-season tour, gaining experience and increasing his profile in the game during his time in America with the Toffees.

Mills joined the club from Everton in 2018 at the age of 14 and has risen through the Everton youth ranks ever since making the move to Merseyside.

He has made 43 appearances for the club’s various youth teams, scoring eight goals and providing six assists during that time.

Despite being a midfielder, the teenager was deployed in a right-wing back role during pre-season, showcasing his versatility and dedication, especially during Everton’s pre-season loss to Arsenal.

He is naturally a right midfielder, however, the youngster can be deployed in defensive roles or as a central midfielder, making him a very useful asset to his manager.

Lampard is clearly a fan of the player, and starting him in the club’s friendly against Luton may be an indication that the youngster could play some part for the first team in the upcoming season.
