Everton starlet Anthony Gordon is worth around £50m right now amid interest from Tottenham and Newcastle, according to Zach Lowy.
The 21-year-old has attracted interest from both Spurs and the Magpies this summer, with Eddie Howe’s team making contact over a potential £35m deal last week (July 6).
However the Toffees have so far refused to enter talks over a deal and while there are some suggestions that they could be forced to sell due to their financial situation, Lowy believes he’s probably worth £50m right now.
“Yeah he’s definitely very important,” he told The Football Wonderkids.
“He’s a player who works hard off the ball, has done really well and stepped up on many occasions where Everton have needed a leader in attack.
“So yeah, I think he’s a very interesting winger but obviously Everton are in a tough position financially. They need to sell players. I don’t think he’ll end up going to Tottenham, I think they have enough attackers, but I could certainly see another team making a move for him.
“I think probably around £50m. I think Richarlison is the better player. Gordon, yes he’s young, yes he’s English, yes he’s done well in the winger position, but another thing is who is going to willing to pay for the signing? I think he’d probably have less competition than Richarlison did.”
Everton are said to be preparing a new long-term contract offer for Gordon to ward off interested parties.
