Nathan Patterson could become new cult-hero at Everton
Nathan Patterson has started in every Premier League game for Everton this season so far.
The 20-year-old has impressed heavily for the Toffees, and he has earned high praise from none other than Frank Lampard.
He joined last season from Rangers in the January transfer window and picked up a nasty injury that ended his campaign before it began.
This summer, it’s been a different story.
He has impressed in the pre-season, and Lampard has given him an opportunity to shine.
The youngster has been outstanding so far. His performance against Liverpool in the Merseyside derby highlights what a player he could become if he is developed properly.

Seamus Coleman, who is usually the most reliable right-back, has just managed one league cup appearance so far, with Lampard putting absolute trust on the youngster.
The faith hasn’t been misplaced.
“What a start to the season,” said Lampard, as quoted by The Daily Mail (4 September).
“Pats was injured when he was about to make his debut last year, and his defensive game has been excellent.
“There were quite a lot more question marks being asked of the full backs and centre halves, but they have both done great, and are both young players so they are going to get better.”
It’s the style of his game that makes him a real gem. He is solid at the back, and rarely makes mistakes.
Patterson is superb with his passing, and most importantly he is courageous. He is not afraid of playing out a long ball, and covers a lot of ground.
He is physically strong and doesn’t allow his concentration to drop.
The best part of his game is when he gets forward. He is not afraid to get into the box and have a shot at goal. He is equally confident in providing crosses from the right flank.
His attitude towards the game is superb, and Everton fans love to see players playing with pride and passion, more than anything else.
In other news, Erling Haaland has been tipped to hit 25 Premier League goals “easily” this season.
