Journo: Leeds United ace Crysencio Summerville reminds me of £56.6m Mykhaylo Mudryk

Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville has been compared to in-demand £56.6m man Mykhaylo Mudryk by journalist Alex Barker.

The Dutch winger has broken into the Leeds first-team this season, scoring four goals in his last four games to help the Whites move out of the relegation zone in recent games.

That has seen him become a starter under Jesse Marsch, and Barker believes he has a similar skillset to the Ukrainian star Mudryk, who has been linked with a mega-money move to the Premier League in January.

“I’ve been watching and I watched all his goals to catch up on him. He reminds me a little bit of Mudryk,” he told The Football Wonderkids.

“They’re both very quick players, who have great acceleration and can get to their top speed very quickly. And a key point is they’re good at making good decisions at high speeds.

“I think what Summerville lacks is the physicality in terms of his strength. He’s still very slight on the pitch, he still looks like a teenager pretty much. That will probably hold him back a little bit.

“He will need to get past that and bulk up a bit to boost his ceiling.

“So far he looks good. It’s a small sample size, but if he can keep up this scoring rate, I think a couple of goals have been sort of squirmed in like the one against Liverpool where it snuck under Alisson and past a few defenders, but he’s getting into the right positions and he’s very direct.

“I do like the look of him.”

Leeds return to Premier League action on 28 December when they face Manchester City at Elland Road, with Summerville tipped to continue his run in the starting lineup.
