Youth football expert expects big sell-on value for Newcastle United ace Alexander Isak
We’re delighted to welcome the founder of Kinetic Academy Harry Hudson as our exclusive columnist. Each week the youth football expert will be giving his views on the biggest talking points on wonderkids across the UK…
Newcastle United were without headline summer signing Alexander Isak at Fulham on Saturday who has impressed at St James’ Park.
The 23-year-old joined the Magpies from Real Sociedad in Spain for £61.5million to be the solution to Eddie Howe’s striker issues in the North East and starred on his debut against Liverpool.
The Swedish international put the Toon in front at Anfield and could have had a second had he not been fractionally offside and Harry Hudson is mightily impressed by him.
Hudson is the founder of the Kinetic Academy which is a hub for excellence in youth football in London and knows a top player when he sees one as a result.
He not only thinks Isak should be a sensational player for Newcastle but also sees a lot of sell-on value in the 23-year-old further down the line.

“He’s incredibly highly rated and it’s a bit of a coup for them to sign him,” Hudson said to The Football Wonderkids. “It’s really good business because he is someone who will probably have a lot of sell-on value.
“I know Newcastle don’t really need to sell but if he goes and scores 25-30 goals per season, he could be one who moves for big money.
“There isn’t that many number nines out there that people put in the highest calibre that aren’t towards the end of their career.
“Lewandowski, Benzema; top-top level forwards but they probably don’t have another big move in them. Harry Kane, edging towards 30 now, there’s not a load of centre forwards out there with that kind of reputation.
“Isak seems to be one of them and I’ve only seen small bits of him but the goal against Liverpool that was given offside was a fantastic, accomplished, composed finish where he had loads to do.”
Callum Wilson deputised at Fulham with a goal along with strikes from Sean Longstaff and two from Miguel Almiron in the 4-1 win at Craven Cottage.
In other Newcastle United news, the Magpies have confirmed a new signing this week and will see him join up with the squad in January.
