Youth football expert in awe of 'unbelievable' Erling Haaland

We’re delighted to welcome the founder of Kinetic Academy Harry Hudson as our exclusive columnist. Each week the youth football expert will be giving his views on the biggest talking points on wonderkids across the UK…

Manchester City have one of the world’s most prolific strikers in Erling Haaland and youth football expert Harry Hudson has been blown away.

The Norweigan international is still only 22 years of age but has been smashing records left, right and centre in his career so far.

Since his £50million move from Borussia Dortmund to The Etihad Stadium in the summer, the six-foot-four monster has racked up a remarkable 11 Premier League goals in just seven matches along with crucial goals in the Champions League too.

The world expected him to settle quickly in England after his move but perhaps nobody thought he would settle this quickly and Hudson is partly surprised that he has fit into Pep Guardiola’s system so smoothly considering the type of player he is.

“He’s unbelievable,” Hudson said exclusively to The Football Wonderkids. “Everyone thought he was going to come in and be the man to finish off these chances and score goals they usually wouldn’t but you also thought he could disjoint them.

“They were so used to playing with a false nine that he could have disrupted that but it’s been totally different. The amount of chances City create has always been frightening and now they’ve got someone to poach those ugly goals as well as score the odd beautiful one.

“If he carries on in this form then god knows; he could end up scoring 55 goals this season in the Premier League which has obviously never happened before.”

Next up for City, they welcome local rivals Manchester United to the Etihad for the derby where Haaland will have family ambitions for revenge.

In other Manchester City news, Taylor Harwood-Bellis found it difficult to accept the transfer business done by his parent club late in the summer window.
