View: Time for Leeds United to give Darko Gyabi first-team minutes

Leeds United were extremely active in the recently concluded transfer window where they signed a number of first-team players to bolster the squad.

The impressive aspect of the Whites transfer window was their side-focus on bringing players who are not just ready to be a part of the side right now but are also there to become the focal point for the club in the future.

One of the players who came to Elland Road is central midfielder Darko Gyabi who arrived from Manchester City in a deal worth £5.22 million [The Athletic].

Time for first-team minutes

Leeds are going through a decent campaign where they secured some positive results at the beginning, including a win against mighty Chelsea while playing at the Elland Road.

However, the recent results have not gone their way where they failed to beat Everton while playing at home and then suffered a 5-2 defeat against Brentford while playing on the road.

One of the areas in both matches where the Whites had some difficulty is the midfield where Tyler Adams and Marc Roca struggled to cope with the pace of the opposition’s attack at times.

Therefore, it seems like now is the time to give someone like Gyabi a chance as he can bring a breath of fresh air to the middle of the park.

The London-born central midfielder has been in impressive form in Premier League 2 where he already has a goal and an assist to his name in just four matches [Transfermarkt].

In other Chelsea news, the club agreed to let Callum Hudson-Odoi leave on loan during the window.
