Confirmed: Liverpool wonderkid Harvey Elliott signs new contract
Liverpool starlet and England under-21 midfielder Harvey Elliott has signed a new long-term deal with the club, they have confirmed.
The 19-year-old joined the club from Fulham in 2019 and spent a season on loan at Blackburn before moving to the first team.
The new deal will keep him at the Reds until 2027, and in an interview, the youngster has spoken about his delight at the new contract. [Liverpool Official Website]
Elliott said: “It’s been a big rollercoaster for me and my family and even for the club because so much has happened in the years that I have been here.
“I’m hoping there are many more memories to come with it but I’m just so excited to put pen to paper and stay here for a lot longer.”

The teenager has earned the new deal with his bright performances for the Reds ever since breaking into the first team in 2021.
After coming through the youth ranks at Fulham and impressing at Craven Cottage, he earned an £8m move to Liverpool at the tender age of 16.
The boyhood Liverpool fan then joined Blackburn Rovers on loan and had a fantastic season, making 42 appearances and scoring seven goals, and providing 11 assists during that time.
After his successful loan spell, he return to his parent club where he had a promising run in the first team before suffering a horrible injury away at Leeds United.
A tackle from Pascal Struijk resulted in the teenager dislocating and fracturing his ankle and he missed 30 games while he recovered from the injury.
However, he has now recovered from the injury and featured in the Reds’ first game of the season against his former club Fulham on August 6.
Now equipped with a new contract and the faith of his club and his manager, Elliott will look to push on and cement a place in Liverpool’s first XI.
