Liverpool want to sign Jamal Musiala from Bayern Munich - report
Liverpool are interested in signing Jamal Musiala from Bayern Munich this summer, according to information obtained by Sky Sports Germany.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder has been in sensational form for the Bavarian giants this season and leads their goalscoring charts with nine goals so far this campaign in the Bundesliga and Champions League.
That form has seen Jurgen Klopp’s side become attentive to him and they are interested in bringing him to Anfield in the summer, but that remains unlikely.
According to Sky Germany [4 October], Musiala does not want to leave Bayern Munich and the club’s sports director Hasan Salihamidzic has already spoken publicly about a move, claiming that he is not available.
“Of course he’s not for sale,” he said.
“He’s an amazing boy, a German international. We need a guy like that. If I were to think about giving this boy away somehow, I’d be crazy.
“He’ll play for Bayern Munich for a long time.”
Quality
Musiala is one of the very best young players in the world alongside the likes of Erling Haaland, Pedri, Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham, so it’s no surprise that Liverpool are interested.
As the reports states, all the top clubs in the world are likely to be interested in Musiala should he ever become available for transfer, but that isn’t happening any time soon.
The former Chelsea academy man has carved a lane for himself at Germany’s biggest club, and as a Germany international it’s arguably the best place for him.
He is playing at the very highest level, in a system he knows and understands and also gets the best out of him as a player.
Add to that the fact he’s only 19 and there is no rush for him to leave any time soon, if ever, and Liverpool are probably better off looking elsewhere to strengthen that area of the pitch in their team.
