Liverpool target Jude Bellingham was given the Borussia Dortmund captain’s armband amidst transfer speculation linking him with a move to Anfield.
The England midfielder has been linked with a move to Anfield, with Jurgen Klopp said to be a big fan of the wonderkid.
However, the German club have made a big declaration of faith in the Birmingham-born starlet, as he was seen with the captain’s armband during their final pre-season game against Villareal on 22 July.
Bellingham staying in Germany?
This show of faith from the German outfit is a big hint at the faith and value they have in the teenager with all the reported interest from Liverpool.
Despite still being one of the youngest players in the team and having only joined the club in July 2020, the club sees him as an integral part of their future and he is now seen as one of the leaders and focal points in their team.

His stint with the captain’s armband is also a huge testament to his ability and leadership qualities, as he was seen as a more viable option for captain ahead of many other senior members of the Dortmund team.
The former Birmingham star has been an undeniable success since moving to the Westfalenstadion, and his stock just continues to rise in the football world.
He has now made 90 appearances for the German giants, scoring 10 goals and providing 18 assists, establishing himself as one of the hottest prospects in Europe.
Bellingham has also become a key player for England, earning 15 appearances for the Three Lions leading to many people clamouring for the England international to return home and play in the Premier League.
It is no surprise to see Liverpool interested in the midfielder, however, it will take a blockbuster bid to prise the wonderkid from the DFB Pokal winners.
