Nothing between Manchester City and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia right now - Fabrizio Romano

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has weighed in on rumours linking Napoli superstar Khvicha Kvaratskhelia with a move to Manchester City.

Kvaratskhelia has been a shining light in an impressive Napoli team this season, who are tearing up Serie A and the UEFA Champions League.

Romano admitted there is “nothing between” the winger and City as of Tuesday 25th October and the 21-year-old is fully focused on Napoli this season.

“There’s nothing between Napoli and Man City as of today, despite rumours. He’s 100% focused on Napoli,” said Romano via his Twitter page.

The transfer specialist also included quotes from the Napoli midfielder’s father in his Tweet, where he states there is no deals or negotiations taking place.

“He’s not focused on Premier League links or new contract, at all – and no one told us of new deal negotiations,” the midfielder’s father told Imedi Tv.

Filthy.

Manchester City signing Kvaratskhelia this summer would make the Citizens an unbelievably filthy team and it would be hard to see anyone beating them.

The 21-year-old is Europe’s hottest property right now and looks every inch the talent pundits and fans are making him out to be.

He’s very special and the thought of him, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden playing their prime year together in ridiculously scary.

Pep Guardiola already has an insanely good team and now he’s building one for future City managers to rinse and repeat from, it’s not looking good for rival Premier League clubs right now.

Whether they can pull off this signing remains to be seen, but the Citizens have become renowned for getting top talents for great prices in recent seasons, so it wouldn’t be surprising.

The Georgian star has scored five and assisted three so far this season and is also said to be harboring interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
