Manchester City are reportedly monitoring Leicester City centre-back Ben Nelson ahead of a potential move this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, the 18-year-old is being eyed by the Citizens as they’re looking to bolster their homegrown ranks ahead of next season.
Nelson, who has made the matchday squad on a number of occasions, has been tipped to make his first-team breakthrough in the 2022/23 campaign.
Good move?
Nelson is one of the better Under-21 defenders in the Premier League and he could develop into a quality player in his senior career.
At 18, if he’s managing to be part of the first-team discussion, one can imagine the sort of player he’ll be in his mid-20s.

While there are no guarantees of him reaching the highest of high levels, Man City are known to do wonders with their academy players.
Pep Guardiola has relied time and again on the youngsters and more often than not, they’ve delivered exactly how he’s wanted them to.
Nelson is a tall and physical defender and will certainly become a better ball player if he does make the move to the Etihad Stadium this summer.
It remains to be seen how much the Foxes want from him as he’s undoubtedly a talented youngster who could fetch them a decent transfer fee.
Whether or not the teenager fancies a move away from the King Power Stadium also remains unknown, as things stand.
