Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Manchester City sensation Adedire Mebude - report
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing Manchester City teenager Adedire Mebude ahead of the transfer deadline.
According to the Evening Standard, the Scotland under-19 international has stalled on signing an extension at the Etihad Stadium.
Spurs are looking to take advantage of it and sign the 18-year-old striker with PSV, Club Brugge Southampton and Newcastle also monitoring his situation.
Bright prospect
Mebude has been billed as someone with blistering pace and the ability to turn defence into attack in the blink of an eye.
He’s surely not seen as a first-team option for this season by Spurs, but will be a quality player in the next few years.

Since their takeover, City have created a state of the art academy and it can be argued that they’ve got one of the best systems for up and coming players in Europe.
A number of mid-table clubs like Leeds United and Southampton have turned to sign players from their academy even though they haven’t played a single game of senior football.
Mebude appears to be of the same ilk and he would be a tremendous signing for whichever club manages to get their hands on him.
City are still trying to convince him to stay but if he gets a quicker route to first-team football, then he could consider moving there.
If they cannot convince him to stay, they can at least demand a decent transfer fee.
