View: Alejandro Garnacho attitude shows he is ready to impress at Manchester United

Alejandro Garnacho was reportedly entitled to take more time off before joining Manchester United pre-season training.

However, he decided to cut his holiday short in order to be there on day one of Erik ten Hag’s training session at the club.

While there was not too much done with the players still getting back into action, it speaks volumes about the 17-year-old’s mindset.

Manchester Evening News Samuel Luckhurst wrote on Twitter, “More significant is Alejandro Garnacho’s return. Played in the Toulon Tournament for Argentina U20s this month and their last game was on June 10. Garnacho would’ve been entitled to three weeks off but has returned early.”

Garnacho shone in the 2021/22 campaign and played a key role in helping Manchester United lift the FA Youth Cup.

While it may not have been a big deal for the average football fan, for those in Manchester, it was undoubtedly something special.

Garnacho is a name many of the Old Trafford regulars would wax lyrical over and he’s yet to become a senior player as well.

His numbers last season make for extremely good reading and show exactly why ten Hag could consider introducing him into his plans.

In six FA Youth Cup games, the Argentine netted seven goals and provided three assists to become one of the competition’s best players.

He even made two Premier League appearances off the bench and played a grand total of 13 minutes – which is not bad for someone who’s not even an adult yet.

In other Manchester United news, the Red Devils, Real Madrid and Manchester City are in the race to sign River Plate star Enzo Fernandez.
