Manchester United v Nottingham Forest FA Youth Cup final sells out Old Trafford
The FA Youth Cup final between Manchester United and Nottingham Forest’s Under-18’s sides has sold out of tickets at Old Trafford, meaning it will be played in front of over 70,000 fans.
There was a big push from the Reds fans online to get a big crowd for the game but after the failings of the first-team this season, there has been a huge reaction and the youngsters will now play in front of a packed house.
It will be a record-breaking crowd for a youth game in England and for the FA Youth Cup final in history and will take place on Wednesday May 11th.
A tweet from a Manchester United fan account showed that tickets are no longer available to buy over 24 hours before the game begins, with the icon showing them as ‘sold out’.
Players such as Shola Shoretire, Alejandro Garnacho and Alvaro Fernandez are expected to feature for the home side, despite being part of the first-team squad in recent weeks under Ralf Rangnick.

The level of support shown to these young players is absolutely incredible and this is a moment that none of the 22 players involved on the day will ever forget, regardless of where their careers eventually take them.
Playing in front of a sold out Old Trafford is something usually reserved for when you’re playing at the highest level, so for fans to get involved to this level for a youth team game is unbelievable.
Now the players must put on a show and prove why they’re in the final to begin with, having been the stand-out team in the competition so far this season with great attacking football and lots of goals.
Nottingham Forest’s young players will now be up against a wall of support for their opposition as well as the occasion, but they will relish and thrive on it to make a great game into a spectacle.
