Dane Scarlett pens new Tottenham Hotspur deal
Dane Scarlett has put pen to paper on a new deal at Premier League Tottenham Hotspur which will run until 2026, the club announced via their website.
The 18-year-old has made seven senior appearances this season, with the most recent one being in February against Leeds United.
He is an England U-19s international and has been tipped for greatness in the future at the North London club.
Loan him out?
Scarlett has shown glimpses of his talent off the bench for Spurs and we’re confident that he’ll do well in the future.
However, for him to accelerate his progress, it makes sense for the club to loan him out so that he gets regular game time.
The Englishman plays at a level that suits most if not all Championship club and he can polish his skills in the second division.
The clubs there are constantly looking out for Premier League sides to loan their youngsters.
They can also sign an agreement with Spurs to guarantee him a certain amount of starts throughout the course of the season.
Even Harry Kane spent multiple seasons out on loan before he got to the level where he could challenge for a first-team spot at the club.
Looking at him today, he’s one of the best strikers in the world and only seems to be getting better with each passing season.
Hopefully, Scarlett can go on to achieve his true potential but he’s got to put in the hard yards first.
