David Webb: Brendan Rodgers would relish developing 'dribble king' Noni Madueke at Leicester

Former respected coach and scout David Webb believes Leicester City is the perfect move for “dribble king” Noni Madueke.

The right winger has three goals and three assists for PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie in the 2021/22 campaign.

Webb, who has worked at eleven top clubs across Europe believes a move to the King Power would be perfect for the former Crystal Palace and Tottenham youngster.

He told The Athletic on Sunday 12 June: “He would return to England a better player and more mature for having lived and worked abroad.

“Leicester’s interest in him is well established, and Brendan Rodgers would relish the chance to maintain his development.

“They’re looking for a right winger, too.”

Dribble king

Madueke looks like a serious, serious talent who has immense experience considering he is only 20-years-old.

His move to the continent followed the likes of Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham and so far it looks to be paying off for the youngster.

He has notched some pretty impressive stats in Holland in the 2021/22 season.

As per Wyscout, no player in the Eredivisie has attempted more dribbles per 90 minutes.

Madueke attempts to beat his man at least 12 times a game which displays the youngster’s immense confidence.

His eagerness to make stuff happen is displayed in his shooting statistics with the right winger averaging over three shots per game, which puts him sixth in the overall Eredivisie rankings.

Finally, he averaged 0.31 assists per 90 which puts him in the top ten for the whole league.

He is far from the finished product, but under the potential Stewardship of Rodgers, the winger could become a real talent.

In other Leicester City news, they are set to battle with Newcastle United over the potential signing of a very talented young striker this summer.
