James Garner plans to earn spot in Manchester United team in 2022/23
James Garner admits that the plan is to win over new Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag in pre season.
The 21-year-old had an impressive season out on loan at Nottingham Forest and guided them to promotion.
He has returned to Old Trafford after the end of his loan spell and the Daily Mail claims that he could be handed a chance to feature in the XI in 2022/23.
He said, “That’s the plan. That’s what I’d like to do, go on pre-season and impress. It’s down to me as a player to impress him and hopefully make a mark.”

The lack of a defensive midfielder has proven to be costly on numerous occasions for them in 21/22.
Currently, they’re looking to sign Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, but he is not a defensive midfielder.
Garner is someone who can play the role of the six and can actually shield the United back line.
He is a good reader of the game and does not mind throwing his body on the line for the team.
Apart from that, he’s also a very good passer of the ball and ten Hag would certainly enjoy working with him.
Manchester United have lacked players that are willing to leave it all on the pitch for the team and Garner is one such player.
