Liverpool want to sign Aurelien Tchouameni ahead of Real Madrid - report
Liverpool reportedly want to sign Ligue 1 star and Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni ahead of Real Madrid.
According to Foot Mercato, the 22-year-old is a wanted man this summer with a number of clubs believed to be vying for his services.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is believed to be a keen admirer and is looking to bring him to Anfield once the window opens.
Real Madrid are keen but would find it hard to convince the player to join, given their current financial situation.
PSG are also believed to be among the suitors – having watched him shine in the French top flight.
For Klopp, he’s aware that Jordan Henderson and James Milner may not have too long left.

Along with the two, even Thiago is facing a number of injury woes while Naby Keita has not done enough to walk into the playing eleven every week.
Thus, it makes a lot of sense for the Reds to make Tchouameni their transfer priority this summer.
Liverpool have already initiated contact with the Frenchman’s representatives as they look to sign him like they did with Fabinho a few years ago.
They’re said to be leading Madrid in the race, but knowing Los Blancos, they’re unlikely to give up on his services this easily.
The 22-year-old is unlikely to come in cheap and per Foot Mercato, would cost Liverpool a fee in the region of £42million.
