Pep Guardiola: Erling Haaland could return for Manchester City v Fulham

Pep Guardiola has admitted that Manchester City striker Erling Haaland could be back for the game against Fulham over the weekend.

The Norwegian striker missed the game against Leicester City due to an injury.

In that game, Manchester City struggled to break down their opponents and relied on a wonder goal by Kevin De Bruyne.

Via the BBC, Guardiola said, “He feels better compared to Saturday and Sunday, but not 100%.

“We don’t want to take a risk, it makes no sense. Hopefully, he will be back for Fulham.”

Much-needed

This city attack looks like a different machine when Haaland is in the team.

They are much more potent and know what they’re doing with and without the ball.

Unlike most forwards, they’ve had Haaland offers, something unique, and keeps defenders on the back foot.

Not only is he an amazing finisher, but he’s also incredible at getting others into the game and is constantly a menace for opposition defenders.

No betting man would bet against him winning the Golden Boot this season because that’s how fantastic he’s been in front of goal.

If Manchester City are to win the Champions League this season, one can be assured that Holland will play a huge role in getting them there.

Guardiola has worked with some unbelievable finishers but Haaland may go down as his greatest ever pure number nine as he’s far from his peak and will only get better with time.
