Bayern Munich yet to receive offer from Fulham and Southampton for Joshua Zirkzee
Three Premier League clubs – Fulham, Southampton and AFC Bournemouth – are keen to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Bayern Munich this summer, as per Sports Bild.
SportsBild journalist Christian Falk has shared on Twitter on 5 August that Bayern are yet to receive an offer from either of the three Premier League clubs.
The German giants value the 21-year-old over £8.4million, and the club will be open to selling the youngster as long as their valuation is met.
Falk wrote on Twitter: “Update transfer Joshua Zirkzee. Bayern. According to our information, Bayern received still no offer from FC Bournemouth, FC Southampton or FC Fulham for Zirkzee until now. Bayern demands over 10 million Euros for the striker.”
Get it done
Of the three clubs, it seems Fulham are leading the race for the signature of the striker.
According to a report from The Sun (5 August), the Cottagers have opened talks to sign the striker.
Southampton are also keen but the Saints are yet to make a formal move. Zirkzee is a highly talented young striker, but he could be allowed to leave the club.
There is strong competition for the forward role, and the youngster would love to join a club that can offer him regular football at the moment.
Zirkzee has made 17 first-team appearances for Bayern in all competitions already. Last season, he was loaned to Anderlecht, where he scored 18 goals.
The Saints have already added Sekou Mara, an exciting young striker from Bordeaux, to their ranks this summer, but Zirkzee would be a fabulous addition to their ranks.
Likewise, Marco Silva is also looking to add depth across the park and he is looking to make a flurry of signings since gaining promotion to the championship.
In other Southampton news, goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu revealed why he joined the club.
