Tottenham among front runners for Djed Spence's signature - report
Antonio Conte’s Tottenham are among the favourites to sign Nottingham Forest’s on-loan Middlesbrough defender Djed Spence, according to Football London.
The wing-back has been a standout performer in Steve Cooper’s promotion-winning Nottingham Forest side this campaign with three goals and four assists.
It has been reported by Football London on Tuesday [31 May], that Spurs are among the front-runners for the wing-back’s signature and that Spence is keen on a move to Conte’s side.
A fee of £16million has been touted for Spence with no decision to be made on his future until after the international break.

His 2016/17 title-winning Chelsea side was the start of his 3-4-3 revolution.
The 52-year-old’s time in London as well as his time at Inter Milan were heavily reliant upon superb wide players providing an attacking threat.
Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses were his go-to wide players at Stamford Bridge whilst Achraf Hakimi and Matteo Darmian were utilised at Inter.
If Conte can lure Spence to the capital then he could seriously thrive in Spurs’ 3-4-3 system.
Spence’s eagerness to make runs forward could be an excellent option for Harry Kane’s pinpoint passes in behind opposition defenders.
Furthermore, this is a low-risk signing for Spurs with Spence only being 21 and costing a relatively low fee in today’s market.
There is a good chance he could develop further into an asset for Tottenham to sell on for a bigger fee.
