Tyler Dibling signs scholarship deal at Southampton after Chelsea U-turn

Southampton have announced that Tyler Dibling has put pen to paper to his first ever sponsorship deal at the club after returning from Chelsea.

Via their official website, the Saints announced that the 16-year-old had done enough to merit a contract after a decade at St. Mary’s.

He has already been named in a matchday squad for the Premier League clash against Brentford in May 2022.

Good deal

Dibling thought that the grass would be greener in Chelsea and saw their academy players getting big moves, so thought that it would’ve made sense to leave.

However, he quickly realised that it was rosier on the outside and within two months, he returned to the South coast.

In our view, this is the right choice made by him as he will have an easier pathway to the first team and that’s where he can showcase his skills to the world.

Ralph Hasenhuttl is already an admirer of the player and his decision to put pen to paper on a new deal would certainly have gone well with the manager.

Dibling is an attacking manager we’re expecting to see more of this season and it could be cup competitions in which he gets his senior debut.

We’re excited to see what the teenager will bring to the fold at St. Mary’s as he’s got something special about him and hopefully he realises his potential at the club and goes on to become a regular.

In other Southampton news, Romeo Lavia scored his first senior goal against Chelsea.
