View: Leeds United-linked Sonny Perkins is versatile attacker who would be an astute signing
Leeds United are reportedly tracking West Ham United youngster Sonny Perkins as the Whites look to add to the 18-year-old to their array of young talent.
As reported by The Athletic on Thursday 2 June, the Whites are targeting Perkins and he certainly is a versatile forward who could develop at Elland Road.
Perkins has been a mainstay for England’s under-18 side as well as West Ham’s under-23’s this season.
Despite only being 18 the youngster has produced some impressive statistics.
As per Wyscout, Perkins is averaging a goal every other game this season with 0.5 goals per 90.
Furthermore, his XG of 0.42 per 90 indicates that he is only marginally overperforming and that he is likely to continue producing these numbers on a regular basis.

Perkins is a confident player who is not afraid to take the opposition with the West Ham man averaging 5.52 dribbles per game with a success rate of 63.6%.
He is also not afraid to take a shot, with Perkins averaging three shots per 90 with 50% of them on target.
If Leeds can tempt the youngster away from The London Stadium they will have a versatile attacker who could turn out to be a valuable asset in years to come.
Perkins should seriously contemplate a move to Elland Road with Leeds having a host of younger players and having a history of giving their younger players first-team chances.
Leeds should not hesitate in furthering their interest in the striker, although West Ham will be reluctant to lose one of their young players to a Premier League rival.
In other Leeds United news, Derby County’s Malcolm Ebiowei is piquing the interest of the Whites.
