View: Liverpool chasing deal for crossing king Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen who will be perfect Anfield fit

Liverpool are closing in on a deal to sign Aberdeen full-back Calvin Ramsay as revealed by The Guardian and he has all the attributes to be a perfect fit for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The 18-year-old right-back has enjoyed an excellent season for Aberdeen with six assists and one goal for the young Scot.

If Ramsay did make the move to Anfield he would be looking to emulate his compatriot Andy Robertson’s success.

Despite only being 18, Ramsay has amassed some impressive attacking statistics this season for the Scottish side.

Ramsay is a progressive full-back who certainly doesn’t lack confidence when it comes to going forward.

As per Wyscout, the full-back ranks among the top 10 in the whole SPL for crosses per 90 with 4.64.

Furthermore, the full-back averages 0.21 assists per 90 which indicates his eagerness to be an attacking outlet which would suit Liverpool’s dynamic offensive style.

The full-back also averages 4.64 dribbles per 90, displaying his immense confidence despite only being 18.

Ramsay fits the bill when it comes to the type of full-back Klopp wants at Anfield.

Furthermore, he is at an age where he could develop immensely and become a serious contender for Trent Alexander-Arnold’s right-back spot.

What is crucial is that Ramsay continues to play first-team football and gains as much experience as possible.

So a move to Anfield followed by a potential loan move could be the best option for the Scottish defender

This is a smart move by Liverpool that they should certainly follow through with.
