Phillips to Tottenham

Phillips, who is also of Welsh decent, is an exciting young centre-back who Tottenham have done well to get their hands on.

He came through the Blackburn youth system and has gone on to make three appearances for the first team, establishing himself in the first team this season.

The teenager, who was born in 2005, also featured on an international level, originally playing for Wales under-16s before changing international allegiance and representing England at under-17 level.

Phillips, who can play on either side of central defence, is sic-foot-four but also has fantastic recovery pace in addition to his aerial ability.

To feature in the Championship before even reaching your 18th birthday is a testament to the youngster’s talent and he will be looking to take his talent to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and successfully establish himself in London.
