Tottenham starlet Bryan Gil close to Valencia loan move - Fabrizio Romano

Tottenham midfielder Bryan Gil is reportedly close to sealing a loan move to Spanish club Valencia, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The 21-year-old joined the North London club in the summer of 2021 from Sevilla but has so far failed to adapt to life in England.

However, Romano has now reported that the two clubs are completing the final details of the loan move, with the Spaniard moving back to La Liga.

Future for Gil?

The loan move could provide a good opportunity for Gil to rediscover some form in the league where he made a name for himself in.

The former Sevilla man, who has only made 20 appearances for Tottenham, is clearly talented but has struggled to adapt to life in London so far.

In Spain, he excelled, establishing himself as one of the league’s most exciting young stars and in 2020 he even became the first player born in the 21st century to score a goal in LaLiga.

The Spain international is a traditional winger, known for his close ball control, energy up and down the flanks, and creative ability with his delicate left foot doing the most of the damage.

At the Mestalla, he can hopefully feel at home again and start to remind the Tottenham faithful of the talent he clearly possesses.

If the move goes well, he could also impress manager Antonio Conte, and work his way back into the Italian’s plans for the future.

In other Tottenham news, the club are close to completing a deal for Blackburn Rovers defender Ashley Phillips.
